Larry Elder — Why Are Black Conservatives Called Uncle Tom?

Conservative thinker and media personality — Larry Elder — talks with Jan Jekielek about his new documentary: “Uncle Tom.”

Democrats don’t want a color-blind society. They want a color-coordinated society.

Larry Elder

Larry Elder comments on nonexistent systemic police racism, the rise of “revenge culture,” affirmative action, the Black Lives Matter movement.

He brings an example of Professor of Economics Roland Fryer of Harvard University who studied if the police disproportionately use deadly force against black people. To Fryer’s surprise,

Not only were the police not using deadly force disproportionately against blacks, they were more hesitant more reluctant to pull the trigger on a black suspect than on the white suspect presumably because they were afraid of being accused of being racist

by organization like Black Lives Matter — which, as its co-founder, Patrisse Cullors, explains: “are trained Marxists (trained by whom?),” and Larry Elder describes as:

A left-wing movement that’s hostile in my opinion to the values that made this country great, and it’s built upon this phony narrative that the police are out to get black people when in fact, the studies show the opposite.

And then continues saying that it is:

One thing just to have a stupid point of view, lots of people have stupid points of view that are harmless. This [BLM] is harmful.

Another harmful movement is the so-called cancel culture, which Elder calls revenge culture. People apply today’s standards to the past and then want to ban or destroy whatever, or whoever it is that offends them. HBO pulling Gone with the Wind from its streaming service is just the latest example.

The idea of that you’re going to go around and find all the things that offend you from the sensibilities of somebody living in 2020. It’s absurd. The film [Gone with the Wind] was made in 1939,

and the book was published in 1936, that’s over 80 years ago.

Elder also touches on the idea of affirmative action. He views it as a dangerous concept. Lowering standards for a specific group of people is disrespectful and causes others to question their qualifications.

When I get on the airplane, and I see a black pilot, I don’t want to know about affirmative action. I want to make sure that this guy aced his pilot exam, and he’s there because he’s the most competent pilot I could possibly have.

Like Elder, I don’t want to second-guess if my CPA, my dentist, or my lawyer know their craft, or maybe have gained their credentials through affirmative action, and I’ll end up being broke, toothless and in prison.

The last thought (with help from Larry Elder).

So, we have progressivism, socialism, communism, marxism, idiotism, cretinism, and…

You tell me which platform is the one that wants to give you choices at school, which platform is more likely to create economic conditions so that you get a job. Which is the platform that pushes victim-hood and that you’re oppressed? And which is the platform that says, you are an individual capable of making your own decisions… If you work hard, stay focused, you’ll be fine in America. Which platform says that?

Dr. Drew Pinsky Debunks the Fake Coronavirus News

It is refreshing to hear someone with common sense and respect for facts.

Infectious disease specialists, the CDC, the epidemiologist need to take this very seriously. The press needs to shut up.

Dr. Drew Pinsky.

Coronavirus? The overblown press-created hysteria.

No one is suggesting that we should stop paying attention to COVID-19 and live our lives like nothing is happening. But, at the same time, we should avoid panic and keep things in perspective.

We have zero deaths from coronavirus. We have almost no cases. There are people walking around out there with the virus that don’t even know they have it, it’s so mild. So it’s going to be much more widespread than we knew. It’s going to be much milder than we knew. The 1.7% fatality rate is going to fall. Where was the press during the Mediterranean Corona outbreak, where the fatality rate was 41%? Why didn’t they get crazed about MERS or SARS? This is an overblown press-created hysteria.

Dr. Drew Pinsky

Amen to this.

The last thought.

I’m sure that there’s going to be more cases of SARS-CoV-2 infections in the United States. Hopefully, no one will die. We should take all the necessary precautions, but we shouldn’t surrender to this virus and put our lives on hold.

To keep things in perspective. CDC estimates that so far this season, there have been at least 32 million flu illnesses, 310,000 hospitalizations, and 18,000 deaths from flu.

Tim Cook Of Apple Discusses China, Coronavirus, Apple’s Supply Chains And Working With President Trump

While Tim Cook of Apple has recognized the impact of coronavirus on his company’s supply chain, he seems to think the situation is improving.

Tim Cook

Cool and collected.

The contrary to the panic created and pushed on us by main-stream media, Apple’s CEO — Tim Cook, seems not to worry about his company’s future.

It feels to me that China is getting the coronavirus under control. I mean, you look at the numbers, they’re coming down day by day by day. And so, I’m very optimistic there.

He views the current situation as a temporary setback that he and his people deal with.

[T]here will always be unpredictable things that come up. But as you know from following us, we work through earthquakes, tornadoes, fires, floods, tsunamis, SARS.

[S]o, the question for us after we get on the other side will be: Was the resilience there or not. and do we need to make some changes?

He even looks at the current stock market crash as an opportunity.

I don’t want to announce anything on the air, but everybody knows that we’re buying [Apple] shares, and if the stock is lower, you buy more shares for the same amount of money.

Senator Tom Cotton Discusses Latest News on Coronavirus

Senator Cotton joins Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. He said that China is “still lying” about the gravity of the coronavirus outbreak that has killed (as of Feb. 17, 2020) more than 1,770 people.

Sen. Cotton speaks
To Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business.

From an interview:
In response to Maria’s opening where she asked Sen. Cotton to:

Asses the situation as you know it today.

Sen. Cotton replied:

The situation is very grave in part because …, China was lying from the beginning, and they’re still lying today. And also because there are so many unknowns about this virus. For example, how many people one person can infect once they have the virus?

Published on Feb 16, 2020

The more we know the scariest it gets. Only a few miles away from the animal market, where according to the Chinese government, the virus outbreak has originated, is China’s only biosafety level 4 super laboratory that researches human infectious diseases.

This virus did not originate in the Wuhan animal market. Epidemiologists who are widely respected from China who published a study … have demonstrated that several of the original cases did not have any contact with that food market. The virus went into that food market before it came out of that food market.

Said Sen. Cotton during the interview, and then added,

Now we don’t have evidence that this disease originated there, but because of China’s duplicity and dishonesty from the beginning we need to at least ask the question.

I think asking questions isn’t enough. We need to make sure that they will answer those questions and answer them honestly. So far, they refuse to do so.

From an interview with Rep. Devin Nunes:
In response to Siraj Hashmi’s question about Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn:

First of all, what happened to Michael Flynn? Like how did this all transpire? His takedown, him being prosecuted, ultimately indicted and sort of found guilty.

Rep. Nunes said:

I believe he was targeted because he knew where all the bodies were buried and he knew that the Obama administration had seated here in Washington at the highest levels of the intelligence agencies a bunch of people that he knew were not up to par, he would have brought in a whole new crop of people, and of course, he was cut off at his knees before he even got started.

Interesting interview. Worth of watching, Rep. Nunes did most of the talking.

Huawei Technologies Chief Security Officer Andy Purdy Under Fire From Maria Bartiromo

Andy Purdy — Huawei Technologies Chief Security Officer — answers to allegations that the Chinese telecom giant is using “back doors” designed for law enforcement officials to access mobile phone networks.

The U.S. government on Thursday (Feb 13, 2020) filed new charges against Huawei, accusing the Chinese tech giant of a scheme to steal the intellectual property of U.S. companies. To minimize any additional damage to the company’s already strained image, Huawei sent out its Chief Security Officer — Andy Purdy.

Andy Purdy Speaks
To Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business.

In a Thursday “Mornings with Maria” interview, Huawei Technologies Chief Security Officer Andy Purdy denied U.S. intelligence allegations that China has backdoor access to the tech giant’s mobile devices.

Published on Feb 13, 2020

From an interview with Andy Purdy:
In response to Andy’s attempt to downgrade a back door to a simple vulnerability :

All equipment has vulnerabilities. That’s different than an intentional malicious back door, Maria, and you know that.

Maria said:

All equipment has vulnerability? All equipment does not have back doors to the Chinese communist government. Why do you have so many back doors going to the Chinese government, the communist government, so that anybody’s data is out there and goes right back to the Chinese government? We know this. Huawei is a Chinese company.

Very good interview. Maria was on fire, and I saw smoke coming out of Andy’s ears.

Peter Navarro Speaks To Maria Bartiromo On How Coronavirus Will impact U.S. Markets

Coronavirus outbreak in China reveals quite clearly the importance of keeping essential manufacturing sectors of the U.S. economy inside our borders. Specifically, delegating the production of medical goods and pharmaceuticals abroad could prove to be extremely costly, and I’m not talking about money.

Acceptance of dependence on foreign entities in the field of medical supplies and other products necessary for the security of the country and the security of its citizens may not only lead to economic turmoil but — more importantly — it may result in the loss of control over our lives and our state.

Peter Navarro Speaks

To Maria Bartiromo of Fox Business.

Published on Feb 10, 2020

From an interview with Peter Navarro:
Maria Bartiromo points out that:

The ambassador to china was on one Sunday show this weekend, and he did not deny that coronavirus could have started, could have started in a weapons lab. I mean this is huge stuff.

And Mr. Navarro responds:

What we have to do is fight the crisis first, but China will have to be held accountable for how that started.

We will see how the situation develops. There are lots of pending questions waiting to be answered.
